Benvenuto nel Sito della Società Italiana di Osteointegrazione - S.I.O. La S.I.O.. è una Associazione scientifica senza finalità di lucro. La società ha lo scopo di favorire il progresso scientifico e lo sviluppo applicativo dei trattamenti riabilitativi in ambito oro-maxillo-facciale che utilizzano impianti osteointegrati.

ORDINARY MEMBERS

Ordinary members  are  people  with legally-acknowledged professional qualification to practice as dentists or medical doctors-surgeons or those who have any other university degree or certificate aligned with the cultural objectives of the Society and who are interested in osseointegrated implantology. The relevance and/or compliance of university degrees and certificates other than the degree in medicine or dentistry will be assessed in each case by the Committee for Member Acceptance. All above academic titles need to be legally acknowledged in Italy.

Ordinary members are entitled to:

attend SIO Annual Congresses
attend any other cultural events organized by the Society during  the year
receive  “Impiantologia, la rivista per il Clinico” Quintessenza Edizioni, the quarterly magazine (in Italian language).

How you become a SIO Ordinary Member

Those who are interested in becoming SIO Ordinary Members will have to fill in the form  modulo di iscrizione 2010 (or register on-line) and pay the annual membership fee (euro 180 for 2010). To apply for registration, you can fax the form for 2010 to Medicina Viva ++39.0521-291314.




ACTIVE MEMBERS


To become an Active Member, you need to be already a SIO Ordinary  Member and you need to have paid the membership fee in the two previous year. Use the relevant form.


Active Members  are  people  with legally acknowledged professional qualification to practice as dentists or medical doctors-surgeons or those who have any other university degree or certificate aligned with the cultural objectives of the Society and who have been already accepted as Active Members by the Committee for Member Acceptance.

The relevance and/or compliance of university degrees and certificates other than the degree in medicine or dentistry will be assessed in each case by the Committee for Member Acceptance. Active SIO Members can also be full-time or part-time researchers. You can only become an Active Member after you have been Ordinary Member for at least two years.  To become an Active Member, the candidate will have to submit a request for admission to the Organizing Secretary of the Society, Medicina Viva ,Sio@mvcongressi.it,  at least 90 days before the National Congress.

Attend the meeting of Active Members with right of vote
Attend the Annual Congress
Attend the refresher course for Active Members
Attend any cultural event organized during the year

AFFILIATED MEMBERS


Affiliated Members are Students attending a University Course in Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry or Implantology in Italian Universities, Post-Degree Students attending Specialty Schools in any dentistry discipline in Italian Universities, PHDs from Italian Universities dealing with Osseointegrated Implantology and wishing to be involved in the activities and congresses of the Society. To become an Affiliated Member, the candidate will need to meet all above requirements and to pay the membership fee.

Attend SIO Annual Congress and refresher courses and/or training course free of any charge
